Days Market & Deli

The cottages are a lot cuter with a lobster roll in hand

Days Market & Deli is located in Truro, right where 6A pours into Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod. The road, littered with a mix of classic beachside motels and new construction from recently sold plots of land, mixes old and new so well, not unlike the market offerings and takeout menu at this counter-service spot.

What To Order

If you’ve made it this far down route 6A to land in front of Days, you’ve earned yourself a lobster roll — and that’s exactly what you should order. To start, all rolls (yes, there are five to choose from) are served on a buttered, toasted, Brioche bun. That’s a great jumping-off point for any lobster roll, but the rest of the ingredients really make your mouth water. The Original roll houses lobster, mayo, scallions, lettuce, and tomato in the traditional New England style. The Connecticut (a personal favorite) holds the winning combo of lobster and hot melted butter. The Californian veers off the path in a delicious way, with lobster, mayo, bacon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato. The Mexican starts to get creative, with lobster, fresh salsa, lettuce, tomato. Finally, The Moroccan brings it all home with lobster, curry mayo, fresh mint, pineapple, and lettuce. If you’re not drooling yet, you should probably log off this website for the foreseeable future. This content isn’t for you.

In addition to their stellar lobster roll menu, Days has clam chowder and lobster bisque ready to go, alongside an equally inventive pizza menu and solid mix of hot and cold sandwiches and salads. The final “must-try” item, though? The lobster benedict. Imagine an eggs benedict and lobster roll had a kid and that kid’s crib was a brioche bun and that kid’s blanket was arugula — and you pretty much have it down. If you’re still not getting it, this image might help

Where to Go

Located across from the often-photographed Days’ Cottages at Beach Point and just before the East Harbor, the is historic. Nearby, there are beaches like North Truro’s High Head and Head of the Meadow beaches, or Provincetown’s Race Point Beach. Race Point Light is nearby too, as well as beautiful trails like the Dune Shacks and Pilgrim Spring. There’s so much to do in this area, you’ll need a whole weekend (at least). Just make sure that weekend start or ends at Days.
